Nomination Announcement: Nancy Griffin Quality Improvement Award, 2024
We are excited to announce the call for nominations for the Nancy Griffin Quality Improvement Award, which honors a distinguished PR-COIN member who has made significant contributions to improving the care and outcomes of children with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA).
About Nancy Griffin
Nancy Minnick-Griffin was a beloved longtime QI specialist for PR-COIN at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital before losing her life to cancer in 2022. Nancy was well known and loved for her joyful and positive attitude, her ability to improve the mood in any environment, her expansive knowledge, and her generosity with her time. Nancy was a nurse by training and widely recognized as a leader in QI at Cincinnati Children’s, where she educated, coached, and mentored many individuals and teams. She encouraged teams to always focus on the outcome of improving care and the lives of patients and families.

Award Criteria
This award aims to recognize an individual who:
Improves Care and Outcomes: Has made an important contribution to enhancing the care and outcomes of children with JIA.
Embodies the Spirit of Nancy Griffin: Exemplifies the joyful and dedicated spirit of Nancy’s work in quality improvement.
Impacts the Network Community: Has had a meaningful and positive impact on the PR-COIN network community.
Nomination Process
We encourage you to nominate a deserving colleague who meets the above criteria by downloading the form below. Please submit your nomination to PR-COIN@seattlechildrens.org with the subject line "Nancy Griffin Quality Improvement Award Nomination - 2024".
The winner will be announced and celebrated at the upcoming PR-COIN Fall 2024 Learning Session.
